"BRIDGES" is an interactive VR application that represents the different bridges from different times and countries. In this VR application you can go boating and have an immersive experience.
Different bridges will be connected through a river and represented in VR. Users can observe the bridges from different perspectives.
In the first perspective all bridges are as large as in reality. Users can make a journey by boat to visit all the bridges.
In the second perspective users will become huge. Then they can observe the whole structure of each bridge from above.
This application shows five bridges from ancient times to the present, which are: Pont Du Gard, Anji Bridge, Ponte Vecchio, Tower Bridge, Sydney Harbour Bridge.
How does the user control the boat? This prototype shows a way to interact. The inspiration of the prototype comes from the pedal boat. With the support of Arduino and laser sensor users can control the speed of the boat in VR.
